key will not disingage from ignition

my key would not release from the ignition and has since broke off.

You would need a locksmith to help you with this.

Have already went this rout and over $500. later I still have the problem. I guess I asked the wrong question.. I guess what I need to know is why is my key NOT disengaging from the ignition switch? Thanks

Check BTSI PARK LOCK fuse (10-amp) for open circuit. If fuse is blown, check for short to ground in circuit between fuse and steering column electric park lock assembly.
