Audi A3 Brake light switch Problem
I have a problem with my left hand brake light and front light they stay on when my lights are off and also when the key is out, only sometimes, any ideas

These cars are kinda known for their faulty brake light switches. When these switches go bad it can cause the problem you're describing. Try pulling the brake pedal upward with your hand to see if the light goes out. If so, then it is probable just out of adjustment. If the light stays on replace the brake light switch.
