I have a 1999 volkswagon passat 1.8 liter turbo. When below 50 degrees car would start once then die and when u tried to start it again it would spin over real fast like it didnt have any compression. Replaced the coolant temp switch for computor and car started and ran fine when test deove. Customer picked up carand when she went out the next morning itwas very cold. Car started but by the time it made it to end of driveway it died would not start back up. Its back in our shop and starts and runs fine but has dtc p1300. Scanner says man. Controlled ignition or misfire. Alldata only states misfire due to low fuel level. Gas gauge shows quater tank. Check engine light is also on. Any help would be great as we are out of ideas thanks

Check engine light on
Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.

We have already scanned it. As far as we can with the scanner we have. Was wondering if anyone had any ideas what it could be.
