Car wont start

I have a 99 jetta TDI I changed the battery and the car will not start now also my interior lights and trunk will not open

Disconnecting the battery causes the computer to lose memories it probably has to go thru a relearning process

Got'cha! Tow it to the dealer to have "minimum throttle" relearned with their special, (and expensive) equipment. Never, never, EVER disconnect the battery on a Volkswagen or let it run dead. To do so means "get out your wallet!
