Volkswagen Jetta Body Problem

Car runs for 11/2 hours no problems. Then sits for 8 hours, runs again for 1 hour and dies at stop light. No warning, lights work, will not restart. Sometimes runs for 20 mins and stalls when slowing down to stop. Started this morning, ran in driveway for 5-10 mins and then died. Would crank but not start. Left for a few hours and it started right up? Any suggestions? Thank you

need to see if it has fuel pressure and spark when it stops. spray some starting fluid in the air filter. if it does, then it is fuel related, and if it does not, then it is spark related

1999 A3 Body Style or 1999 A4 New Body Style? Engine size?

ECM relay or Crankshaft position Sensor.
