Volkswagen Cabriolet Door Problem
Remote entry not working not the batteries in the key fob
i am a retired panel beater so I know my way round a car
is there a common fault as my 3 other golf mk4 has same problem

Do the power locks work with the key or the button in the car?

The A3 VWs use a vacuum pump to lock & unlock... the A4s use Electric Motors, so there is a difference.
Once I know if it locks/unlocks with the key in the door handle, I can suggest more.
