It first started with my power windows not working, so I checked on the fuse box( in car & engine) to align the fuses well but to no avail. Then I decided to move to find out the my gear will not move from P- Park position until I called on a an auto-wire technician who made a makeshift on the gear but I dear not move it into park till I got to my final destination.

I also observed that while he inserted new fuse to power up the windows, the fuses were burning off one after the other. As I speak now my 4 Runner is immobile, all the power windows (rear, roof, doors) are not working and my a/c packed up in the process.

kindly advise me on what to do. Trusting your rich advise

As far as getting it out of park, what about your shift interlock mechanism? My info says there is an over-ride button beside the shift lever, Did you try pressing the button?

I'm not sure how the rewiring was done? Will it crank in any gear?

As far as checking applicable fuses, not only check the fuse, check the fuse circuit for voltage. Some fuse circuits go hot with the key on, some are hot all the time, check for voltage both ways.

I'm not trying to insult your intelligence or anything like that, I'm just trying to figure out what testing you've done? I always start with the basics.
