Saturn SL2 Terminal Problem

Coolant level indicator lights flash even after its filled to the right level as indicated on the reservoir box. could this mean a leak somewhere?
iF SO, WHERE SHOULD WE BEGIN TO LOOK FOR THE PROBLEM?.
I can just see the dollars adding up as a mechanic tries to replace various parts without knowing what's actually wrong.
I am senior woman and so vulnerable in this area. PLEASE HELP!!

Fill the bottle up to the seam of the bottle and see if the light goes out?If not unplug the connector going to the bottle jump the two connector terminals together without opening the terminals up then see if the light shuts off if it does turn off replace bottle. Before jumping the connector see if the back up light fuse is blown if it is blown the light will stay on.
