Pontiac Grand Am Steering Problem
Steering gets real hard when car is not moving like manual steering or steering gets hard when braking is it pump or rack or ???????????

if it is ok above idle, most likely is the pump. a pressure test will confirm.

If it has a Hydro Boost pump check that too
