What do i need to do to get my car to start?

Camshaft gaskets needed changed so we changed the set timing and put it back together and it trys to start but backfires, what do i do? It was leaking oil on my spark plugs thats why we had to change the gaskets cause it was miss firing and shutting off at an idle.
