Dead electrical

Electrical problem
1995 Pontiac Bonneville 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Battery was defective and replaced. Still have absolutely nothing. Not even a click when key is turned. Lights, radio, etc. do not work either. Acts as if there is no juice anywhere. Jumped across solenoid, with a screwdriver, and the starter will turn over that way. Also seem to have juice to Alernator. But absolutely do not know where else to check. Did check all fuses we could find and they also seem to be OK. What else could I check. Do not have a wiring diagram or could possibly figure it out myself. (Am not a mechanic, anymore, since late 70s, but have extensive background in electronics (TVs and Computers) so could check it out if I knew where to start) Thank You.

Test all the fusible links and the ignition switch then comeback

Check at the starter battery terminal those small wires with a lump on it.

When I am driving down the road, the car will just shut off and die. After I pull over and put it in park, the car will start up just fine after a couple minutes, then it will die after you start driving again. I have replaced the cam and crank sensor, cleaned the battery terminals and replaced the fuel filter.

Have you checked for codes in the computer?

Also have you had the battery and alternator tested? It sounds like it could be a bad battery connection, corrosion.

I have had the battery tested already, where do I go to get the codes? Auto Zone said they don't do that?

Do you live in california?Auto zone will check the alternator though.

There is a recall on the fuel pressure regulators. Get your vin # and call pontiac.

If it won't crank how did you check for spark? How do you know the starter is okay if it doesn't crank, and how do you expect it cause the engine to stall? You might want to measure the battery voltage to see if the generator quit and the battery ran down. The battery must be at 12.6 volts. If it's at 12.2 volts it is okay but discharged
