no start

1999 PLYMOUTH VOYAGER

I have a 1999 plymouth voyager and had a no start problem,so i tuned it up. when i try'ed to start it,it did not start, but the van kept trying to start without the key in it. So i took off battery cables What could it be? Rick

What was the no-start symptom? Did the engine crank? A common problem is a no-crank due to worn solenoid contacts. Sometimes the plunger becomes wedged between the wear spots in those contacts resulting in the continuous cranking that you mentioned.
