Firring but not starting up?

It ran hot and shut off, I replaced a heater hose filled it back up with water ran it for about 30 to 40 min, turned it off now it will not start back up. It hits like it's fixing to start but never does.

White smoke from exhaust? Oil look odd? Suspect headgasket failure check compression
