Oldsmobile Bravada Shifter Problem

I'm having a hard time getting out of park. The button on the SHIFTER IS very hard to push in. Once It's out of park it shifts easily. Someone mentioned a brake shift cellinoid but can't find any such part.

When you step on the brake can you hear a clicking noise from the gear shifter area?

I'm not sure which it is. It sits between the 2 front seats raised up and surrounded by he's plastic.

The solenoid for the shift interlock is on the base of that floor shifter of yours. You have to get in there and see whats going on why its hard to get out of gear.
