My door had a bad pin in the hinge so I fixed that but once I did the latch is wanting to stay down and has bent the striker screws a little bit. I know how to reset it but I want to know how to fix it permanently so I wont have to reset it every time I want to drive.

Not the button the actual latch itself inside the door that connects to the striker. The pin in the hinge was bent and made the door sag down and my mom had the car before me and never fixed it, just kept slamming it to get it shut all the way so once I fixed it the latch shortly after stopped going up and I would have to open it from the outside to reset it and then it would stay down. From the door sagging its a little rough but I dont feel it catching on anything and I tried to take it out to clean but cant because the window track is in the way. So I dont know how to replace or fix the latch. I sprayed parts cleaner and cleaned what I could reach and then put wd40 and a lubricant and rust inhibitor on it.

Your best bet is to raise the window, remove the door panel, then the track, and replace the latch. Or at least remove it to see what your ****** damaged by not fixing the bent hinge for so long.
