As I was driving home,my dash lights came on for the battery,and brakes what could be the trouble,I got home turned it off and it started up?

My dash lights suddenly came on,but it still runs,what could my problem be?

Have the computer scanned to identify trouble codes. It will identify where the problem is coming from.

This is a classic symptom of battery voltage at below minimum level (less than 12 v) and indicates that it is not charging. Most likely cause is bad battery or alternator. If you have a voltmeter, check the voltage at the battery terminals. It should read close to 14v (13.8v) when the engine is running.
