I replaced the air intake system on my galant and the new system does not have a plug for the old system . ? how to i fix this or bypass it ? the car starts but stalls out . will not stay running . i need my car to get to work in the morning , thanks .

put the old system back.

cold air intakes have little or no effect on engine performance with many, many other changes

25+ yrs mechanical experience and not able to troubleshoot this one ...

1999 mitsubishi galant 3.0 .. we replaced the air intake system , and the new system does not have electrical plug for the old system .

How do we fix this issue or bypass it so car stay's running ???

30 yr old son is in Missouri and i am in Utah , so i can't see what is happening .


he is car smart , but this one has him and me stumped....... car will start up and then stall out.

there is no electrical plug on the new system .

it says there is an adapter harness for the mass air flow. does he have one?? it sounds like what is going on here

k, that was the issue. he had to drill out the new one a bit for the old one to fit into.


he re read the papers on it and figured it out ..
