Where is the transmission located where I can put more transmission fluid in there?

The car is not shifting immediately and the engine will rev up but it takes it a second to get up to speed

Do you see fluid leaking onto the ground? Finding the transmission is pretty basic. You might consider having a mechanic or someone else point out how to check the fluid level and add if necessary. We read WAY too many times here that someone put the wrong fluid in the wrong place. If you put transmission fluid in the brake master cylinder, which seems to happen quite often, you can take the car straight to the salvage yard because repairs will easily top $1000.00. Better to get the right information from someone standing right there in front of the car with you. Also, adding too much transmission fluid and making it overfull can be just as bad as not full enough. Low fluid lets the pump suck up air which can be compressed. That lets the clutch plates slip and overheat leading to permanent damage. Overfilling raises the fluid to where it gets whipped around by rotating parts. Air gets whipped into the fluid which again, compresses and will cause clutch pack slipping and damage.
