Sudden Unintended Acceleration in 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee
I own a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It suddenly accelerated on me three weeks ago after I made a right turn. I was only going about 30/35 mph when it suddenly accelerated on me and my brakes wouldn't work either. I was able to turn into a parking lot, throw in Park and turn off the ignition. My tires were spinning. I was lucky I didn't hit another car because I couldn't stop. I just want to get my Jeep fixed so this doesn't happen again. After researching this more, I found this a fairly big problem with Jeeps. Is there a "fix" for this issue so I can drive my Jeep again?

Thank you so much for answering. My auto mechanic couldn't find anything wrong after I had it towed there, but I will share this with him. He is someone I immensely trust, a long standing community business with honest reputation. He did disengaged the cruise control "just in case" until he could figure a solution, which he has not yet. What do you think?
