Cooling fan relay

How to replace a cooling fan relay on a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Which type do you have? Some models have a plug-in relay in the under-hood fuse box. You just yank the old one out and stuff the new one in. Those don't fail very often.

Some models use an electronic relay. It looks like the one in the photo below from http://www.rockauto.com I don't know where they live on Jeeps but on other similar vehicles they are halfway down on the driver's side of the radiator, bolted to the sheet metal beside the radiator.
