This thing is NOT enough of a clue. What battery are you referring to? The 1 in the car or something else. And hooked up to what /where? Somehwere on door? Underhood? So why did he not fix problem?

He got another battery from the shop
Connected a cable to the battery with red and black
Clip, the other end of the cable looked like a stick
He poked it in the window switch that was connected
To the window motor and the lever moved up and down

And he didn't fix it because as he put it he sells
Parts And he's NOT a repair man.

Is that enough info?

Its called a power probe. You can do the same thing with 2 jumper wires connected to the battery

So you had a new window motor installed but it did not make window work. Is this same place where this guy made it work with battery? Sounds like you have a bad switch or power to the switch problem.
