I just took my car in and they are saying my rear bushings on the rear trailing arms are broken. I have a 1999 Honda Civic LX. They have never been replaced. Is this normal?

The car tends to veer to the left. I thought it needed an alignment, but while they were checking that they found the bushings were broken and very worn. I did not see them, because I left the car there.

It wouldn't surprise me if they do need replacing. I have had the car for 11 years and never replaced any bushings.

Just wanted to make sure I wasn't being taken for a ride.

Thanks

I feel good about it, but I also wanted the reassurance of anyone on her that had knowledge about bushings. Thanks so much for your help.
