my 99 Honda civic overheats every time i exit the freeway...it is fine when i am on the freeway but as soon as i exit the temperature gauge jumps too hot. I have already replaced the fan that goes to the air conditioner and to the motor. Car also has a radiator that was replaced about a year ago. What can it be?

Did you check the coolant level in radiator?

Insufficient coolant in system would cause the problem described.

Could be a waterpump, or a false reading from gauge.

Waterpump may be pumping enough at freeway speed to cool engine, but at a stop it overheats.

And you said cooling fan is working?
