What would cause my steering wheel to vibrate when my speed exceeds 50mph?

When I reach 50 mph on the road and any speed above that causes my steering wheel to vibrate. I thought it might be my alignment, but when I take my hands off the wheel on a straight stretch of road, the car doesn't pull one way or the other.
