My car will start then idles rough, when I put it in gear it stalls. i have checked oil and fluids and looked at wires I could see

Check for vacuum leaks. Spray carburetor cleaner around where the intake manifold meets the cylinder head. Spray around the air intake hoses. Clean the mass air flow sensor.
