Rear window defroster

1999 yukon the rear defroster will not work the light comes on on the panel. Also the keyless entry will not work on the rear doors to unlock or lock. Am more worried about the defroster for safety issues. Thank you Billi Huckins

Hi Bill, I would check to make sure first the plug on the rear window is plugged in and making a good connection. If that is all good and it still does not work check to see if your are getting power to the plug with a test light. If not check the fuse if the fuse is good check wiring from front to back for brakes or shorts. Do the rear doors unlock with the switch? If they don't in might be your actuators. If they do then it is probably in the programing of your remote

All 4 doors work just the ones in the back don't. Will check the switch on door panel if this is what you mean and see if it will lock it. If it is the remote that came with it how do you program it? Thank you so much. Billi
