What will make my van chug

Too much fuel, too little fuel, not enough air, blocked exhaust system, jumped timing belt or chain, (you have an engine problem but didn't list the engine size), defective mass air flow sensor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, leaking fuel injector, any of a dozen electrical problems. You have to provide a whole lot more detail, otherwise this is like asking why I'm in pain.
