How best to clean out the heater core without removing the core from vehicle. The coolant system needs a good flush (looking at the color of the coolant) and the heater is intermittent at best. This is suggesting to us the core may be clogged.

if you can do it just put a hose and back flush it. you can also buy prestone rad cleaner and run that through it, pull hose off of bottom of rad to get most junk out before putting rad cleaner in it.

IF YOU HAVE LOTS OF MINERAL DEPOSITS FROM THE WATER.....WE HAVE THIS ISSUE IN MY REGION

I'VE PLACED A SHORT 1-2 FOOT HEATER HOSE ON EACH OF THE CORE'S IN AND OUT TUBES

TURN THEM SKYWARD

POUR SOME "CLR" OR A SIMILAR PRODUCT INTO IT AND LET IT SIT A FEW HOURS (OR MORE)

RINSE IT OUT WELL BY STICKING THE GARDEN HOSE ON THE HOSES ONE AT A TIME---ALTERNATING THE DIRECTION OF FLOW THRU THE CORE

"CLR" WON'T EAT THE METAL

THE MEDIC
