Ford Taurus Noise Problem
A belt just popped on the car where the Alternator is locatd. There was brown liquid on the ground when I parked. There was also the smell of something burning. How can I fix this? There is also a knocking noise when the heater temp is turned all the way up and it blows cold. Could this mean a thermostat is needed?

Check to see if the brown liquid is dirty coolant. As far as the noise, check the blend air door actuator.
