replaced vibration damper, car will not start. key on all gauges max out, then back to normal

99 mustang 3.8L, turn key on all gauges will max out, then back to normal. Wont start, like battery is dead, but is not tried different batteries that good . still same thing

Gauge bounce is normal with electric gauges.
By vibration dampener, I presume you mean the harmonic balancer on the crankshaft? How did you remove it? How did you reinstall it? Check to see if you might have moved or broken the crank position sensor.

Check spark and fuel.
