Grinding noise from brakes

I have replaced the brake discs but not the pads and getting a grinding sound when slowing down and putting a bit of pressure on my brakes. And gets louder when I have nearly stopped and when I just start moving again. The pads have plenty of miles left on them. And wondered is there away of seeing if the calibra is working ok. All was ok untill I changed the brake discs could you help

Put on new rotors but used old pads?

Well there is your noise old pads wear to old rotors get groved at kinda acts like old vynil record. New pads no noise

Recheck your work. Ck. The pad retaining clips something is rubbing.
