1999 F-250 system alert of some kind

Horn honks three times if a door is opened or dome light turned on at the instrument panel. No door ajar light on the dash if the front passenger door is open. No dome light when the front passenger door is open.

Have you checked body grounds? It sounds like something isn't always making a connection.

Thank you. No I haven't yet. I just got it back from the shop for some body work. They did let the battery die when they were working on it. They have been looking for info from other shops, but noone has any ideas. They keep leaning towards the alarm system. Confuses me because I don't have an alarm. I have theft-deterent switch to start it, but no alarm. I've been pouring over the manual tonight again and am going to try to reset the battery into Learning mode tomorrow. After that, I'm stumped! Will check all grounds too.
