Have new radiator, new coolant, new thermostat, new hoses, car runs normally MOST times temperature guage registers around 11:30(12 o'clock being straight up)sometimes while driving around 60 MPH the temperature guage needle will swing nearly over to the red, without slowing down the needle will hover close to the red then start dropping to its normal level. Heat is normal no loss of fluid car runs great

When the last time you have replaced the thermostat? Don't recall -replace it and then report back-possibly an out of calibration coolant temperature sensor or the gauge itself-

Coolant temperature sensor was replaced when the thermostat was replaced, the head was replaced with new gaskets 15,000 miles ago. Could it be a faulty fan motor or possible fan relay?

That's easy to observe-check if both fan for the radiator and condenser if its coming on while Ac is On-Again I still say recheck the thermostat-it controls the engine temperature and the CTS reads it
