What would keep the alternator from charging the battery?

I have checked all links, connections and circuits, all are fine. I have also replaced the alternator and the belt. It has the 2.4L engine. Automatic trans.

The voltage regulator is built into the PCM and there is an inline fuse for the output.

When its not charging ground the dark green wire @ pin # 8 of the pcm. If it is still not charging replace the alternator. If it is charging replace the pcm
