My mom owns a 1999 dodge Durango and the starter has been going out it finally gave out this morning and we cant figure out the location of the starter so we can replace it. Would you happen to know the location of the starter on her car?

The starter is located on the driver's side of the engine and bolts into the transmission bell housing. They are really hard to access. Make sure to disconnect the battery before you start working on it. The easiest way to access it is through the inner fender on the driver's side and from under the vehicle. You will need an extension and swivel for the top bolt.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Joe
PS: Let me know what engine you have.
