1999 Chevrolet Venture Repair Question

Chevrolet Venture Steering Problem
I need to drop the engine pod with the trans and engine intact. How do I get the steering shaft out when lowering the engine pod, and how do I get it back in and aligned?

u will see a clear boot .it covers the steering knuckle that goes to the steering.u will see a bolt on the steering just remove this bolt and u can remove it by prying it off the steering shaft.
