i have been smelling dex-cool burnoff for some time but have never found a leak or source of a problem. i would have to add dex-cool once in a while but no signs of leaks? the other night my temp gauge shot up to the max. fortunately, i was a block away from home. there was a steady stream of fluid coming out of the back side of the engine by the drivers side. i checked again the next day but had a problem locating the leak because i could not get a good view between the fire wall and the back of the engine to see where the source of the leak was. not sure if it's a freeze plug or not. i don't know of anything else back there that would cause a leak. i'm off to see if there are signs of a blown head gasket. thanks in advance for your help!
