I have a base e46 323i 1999 and it has the old shift knob i want to upgrade it to steptronics is possible to make this upgrade?
My car has the old school gearshift system. i want to upgrade it to steptronics or something better kind of what the 330 has.

You would need to replace the complete system, engine management with transmission control and transmission, wireharness etc. Nothing is impossible but is it viable?
