Volkswagen Jetta Steering Problem
Some one stole the key to my 98 Volkswagon Jetta GLS and i can not find my spear.. Is there any way to get the steering wheel off lock with out having a key? I can start it with a screw driver but the steering wheel wont unlock. I bought a new ignition switch but cant get the security screws off they have been stripped out.

Does the driver door handle cylinder use the same key? If yes, remove the driver door handle and have a locksmith make a new key off of that cylinder / tumblers.

If you don't have any luck with the locksmith... I'll post instructions on how to remove the steering wheel & steering column, so that you can
drill-out & remove the Ignition Lock Cylinder.
