My car recently leaked all of the transmission fluid out and has a constant grinding noise while running. It is a manual transmission. I where put the transmission fluid fluid in to replace what was lost. Can it be done by me or do I need a mechanic to do it.

What engine size? 4 cyl and 6 cyl standard transmissions are different.

Not the best lighting... sorry. I will upload new versions soon!

If your transmission is an 020, you might have a cracked differential housing... you'll need to replace or overhaul the transmission then.

There is a drain and fill plug for the fluid. If you are running it with low or no oil, that is why it is making noise. You can refill it yourself.
