Stopped the car for a few minutes and left the radio on. After 5 minutes when I started it and put it in drive it kept moving back and a spring type sign flashed on the dash board. The brake was looser as well. Then the battery died. What is wrong with the car? I've had it for 6 years now and it has never given me a problem.

Hello,

Just to clarify, did the car stall as you were driving or is it not starting because the battery is dead.
Try to jump start the engine.
If you are able to jump start it and it runs normal, then you will just need to replace the battery.

If you are able to jump start it but it stalls when you take off the jumper cables, then it is a bad alternator.

As for the symbol you are observing, can you upload a picture please? It will help up with determining what might be that error.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
