Driver Door Lock INOP
I have a 1998 Seat Ibiza. It has central locking. For years the passenger lock did not work because a child stuffed sand and dirt in it. Now the drivers door key lock will not lock or unlock the doors. I have looked at the problem, it seems the mechanism inside is not functioning. Do you have any suggestions as to what I can do to fix it

From the symptom description, the driver door lock switch is bad or has an open circuit therefore is not activating the central locking system. You would need to remove the door panel to check the circuit.
