Had the code for the EGR valve, had the mechanic remove it and clean it with carb cleaner and clear the error code. 230 miles later went to get it inspected since the check engine light had not came back on. It fails to go through the inspection due to reading "not ready" as far as proceeding with the inspection. After 230 miles I would have expected it to reset and cycle. I'm now trying removing all power via the battery terminals to get a complete clearing of all modules and computers in it to see if that does it. Any thoughts?
