98 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX, THE WIPERS PARK IN THE CENTER OF THE WINDSHEILD. WHAT SHOULD I CHECK FIRST? BAD GROUND OR BENT LINKAGE?

Sounds like the linkage moved on the wiper motor. Loosen the nut on the motor, and move the linkage a bit to one side. Which ever way makes it better is the way you need to keep moving the wiper arm. Wish there was an easier way.
