I believe my power steering pump is failing. The fluids are fine and belt is fine but the pump whines (grinds). I need to drive it approx. 100 miles to get it home to my tech. Will it hurt the vehicle other than the pump?

There is conamination in the system so there will be some damamge to the power steering rack but it won't be enough to worry about. Your just find. It takes a lot to hurt a power steering rack. Just make sure your tech flushes the power steering fluid.
