If you have never done one, let a shop do it as so much can go worng with this repair.

If there is any fragment that fall into the motr, the motr can be severely damaged

How do I know if any fragments haven't already fell into the motor I tried sending it to a shop and they're talking way more then my wallet can handle im pretty confident I could do it I have done everything to my other cars from rebuilding motor to the ring and pinion gears in the rearend

When you remove the unit. Look for fragments in the intake. If there are, you will have to remove the intake to get them all out and whatever made it to the intake valves
