I have changed spark anb ht.
It is number 1 front cylinder.
Still fires but only just.
Burns ALOT of oil and smells really strong?
Would really like any ideas befor I have to resort to taking the block apart as not the best under the hood but do not have the funds to have loads of work done.

Burns oil means either a bad valve stem seal or bad rings, head gasket, cracked head or block, or any combination of the above. Check compression. You should see numbers above 100 PSI and they shouldn't vary by more than 15% high to low. Also, no matter what, pick up a manual for your vehicle.
