I have a 1998 jeep grand cherokee v6 full time 4wd and when I turn that skipping feeling from the 4wd is severe to the point where the jeep wont make a full turn it is especially bad after driving for a long period of time. Ex. After driving for 45 min I pulled into a parking lot and could not pull into a space bc as I turned it felt like the front end felt real tight the tires felt like they were skipping when I started driving back home and got to highway speed the whole steering felt real tight again. Once the car is shut off and in park it moves a very small amount then locks up and then does it again. It does not feel like the power steering is going.
i have no idea please help!

Check the power steering pump for pressure and have the 4wd axle checked. You may have aproblem there as well.

IF THIS HAS A POSITIVE TRACTION FRONT AND REAR DIFFERENTIAL

#1) HAS IT BEEN SERVICED WITH THE PROPER ADDITIVE, WHICH IS NEEDED SO THE CLUTCHES DO NOT WEAR OUT???

HERE'S ONE EXAMPLE

IF ALL IS GOOD IN THE FLUID DEPARTMENT, SOMETHING THAT WILL AID IN LUBRICATING THE CLUTCHES IS:

FIND AN ABANDONED PARKING LOT,

DRIVE IN REALLY TIGHT FIGURE "8s"

OVER AND OVER (ON A PREVIOUS CJ I HAD, IT TOOK MAYBE 10 "8s")

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GO FAST....JUST WHAT YOU ARE DOING, WILL DRAW PLENTY ENOUGH ATTENTION. YOU MAY BE EXPLAINING "THE DEAL", TO AN OFFICER, AS I HAD TO DO!

LET US KNOW HOW IT GOES
