my jeep starts but rpms fluctuate dropping to the point of almost stalling and then climbing to 3, 4k and does that rapidly. stalls after getting on the gas a few times, and when it does stall it sounds like its sucking air. its a 1998 jeep grand cherokee with a 318 5.2L v8.
Have replaced the timing gear and chain, plugs, wires, distributor cap, and the catalytic... What the H3#* else could it be??

What did you fix? Did this problem occur only after fixing the timing problem?
