Honda Civic Distributor Problem

How do you change the disrtibutor (cap & rotor) on a 98 civic? Is it simply to use a phillips head screwdriver &
take off cap or more complicated? Is there a reason to change out the whole distributor, instead of cap &
rotor? I've heard it's a common problem.

Rerplacement of parts depends on what is wrong. If the distributor is faulty, replacing the caps and rotors is not going to solve the problem.

Mark the spark plugs and reinstall them accordingly. Mixing them up would cause non starting or mosfiring.
Job is to remove and install, no special procedures except the firing order.
